I returned from China — after 7 years in Asia — 8 months before my 30th birthday. This website was one of my presents.
For 7 months, I lived with my parents while defragmenting my life, laying in the sun, and job hunting from the heart of the Midwest. Unsuccessfully. Then I sold Porsches … for 3 months.
Now I’m a partner in a small business run for the moment from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Although we have only a handful of core employees, we collaborate daily with other tech and business professionals, have contributors all over the world, and wrangle a steady stream of interns.
Das Fort is a multi-media company with a kick ass blog featuring many of our clients, and everything local. I wear many hats.
Spaces Quarterly is a modern living guide, and a personal favorite. I create, corroborate, and bear the role of editor-in-chief. Occasionally, quite often, I take pictures.
Once upon a time I taught at a law school in Beijing after a stint working for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, Taiwan Office. One day I will find a way to put my MA in China studies to use.
I no longer live with my parents.
“In the midst of winter, I found there was,
within me, an invincible summer.”
– Albert Camus
